    The Koolaire KDP0500A-161/K570 ice machine and bin combination features an air-cooled condenser that uses fan-driven airflow to cool the refrigerant circulating through the condenser coils. As the refrigerant cools, it lowers the temperature of the evaporator plate, causing water flowing across the surface to freeze into ice cubes. The unit produces full-size cubes measuring 0.875 inches on each side and can generate up to 502 pounds of ice every 24 hours, making it well suited for restaurants, bars, and other high-demand foodservice operations.

    Components within the ice machine head that come into contact with water or ice are located in the designated food zone. This area is designed for easy access, and several parts can be removed to simplify routine cleaning and maintenance. Constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant white plastic, these components make it easy for operators to identify when cleaning is needed.

    The included storage bin accommodates up to 532 pounds of ice and features a foam-insulated door that helps retain cold temperatures and reduce ice melt. For added convenience, the door remains open while ice is being retrieved. An 82-ounce ice scoop is included, along with a dedicated holder that keeps the scoop separated from the ice supply to help maintain sanitation by preventing contact with the handle. Both the ice machine head and storage bin are finished with a stainless steel-like exterior that resists corrosion and fingerprints, helping maintain a clean, professional appearance.
