The Koolaire KYT-0400A/K-400 half-dice ice machine with bin features an air-cooled condenser that circulates cold air via fans to maintain optimal cooling. Water freezes on the evaporator surface to produce half-cube ice measuring 0.375" x 1.125" x 0.875", which chills beverages more efficiently than full cubes. Under ideal conditions, it produces up to 450 pounds of ice in 24 hours. Its exterior finish offers durability by resisting fingerprints and rust, similar to stainless steel.

This ice machine’s food zone, comprising all surfaces in contact with water and ice, is designed with white plastic components to make dirt easily visible for thorough cleaning. The lift-off door and two screws allow straightforward access to internal food zone parts, while many other components can be removed tool-free. To inhibit bacterial growth, the food zone is fully sealed, and a convenient one-button cleaning cycle helps maintain hygiene efficiently.

The Koolaire KYT-0400A/K-400 ice maker with bin features a stainless steel–style exterior complemented by black side panels for a cohesive look. The bin stores up to 365 pounds of ice and includes a foam-insulated door to maintain optimal freezing. The door can be held open during scooping for easy access. Included is an 82-ounce scoop with a built-in holder designed to keep the handle from touching the ice, reducing contamination risk. Four legs elevate the bin, allowing for convenient cleaning beneath the unit.
